Taylor and John's Wedding at The Columns

Project type

Photos and Video

Date

November 2025

Location

New Orleans

The Brief: A St. Charles Avenue wedding at one of New Orleans' most storied hotels — a couple wanting something unmistakably editorial, not a standard hotel reception. The Concept: Texture over color. A late-season palette of deep burgundy, dried amaranthus, and blush hydrangea, layered with pampas grass and dried botanicals for movement and depth — arrangements built to feel foraged and gathered rather than florist-assembled. Brass table lamps replaced candlelight entirely, paired with jewel-toned glassware in green, amber, and blue against crisp white linen and burgundy runners. The Execution: A long communal tablescape across The Columns' iconic gallery porch, anchored by a cascading floral installation built directly into the entrance staircase — full of dried grasses, moss, and textural blooms spilling down the historic steps toward St. Charles Avenue. The Result: One of the most editorial builds in the studio's portfolio — the kind of design that reads as art direction first, wedding florals second.
